Thanks for the welcome and the place to post whatever I may need to ask, share or find out. It's a great way to keep in touch with fellow tutors.
I remember my call to tutoring as well. At first I was brow beaten by my niece who felt I should give of my time because to her way of thinking, I had time. I resisted her hammering at me, but did spend some time thinking about the option. When I truly did have the time and felt the need to give back to the community, I scheduled an in-take with the Ex Dir in Sanford and knew I was in the right place. I love doing what I'm doing, however it is frustrating to be ready to tutor and be without a student.
I am waiting, patiently, for someone to need whatever it is I am able to help with. My current student seems to have many scheduling conflicts and we have not met much in several months. Don't know when or it that is going to change.
It was good though, because we spent the holidays out of town and that gave me the freedom to do so. However, I would welcome someone new to work with.
I hope everyone has a wonderful 2008 and that it proves to be the best year yet for each of you who reads this post. Be blessed.
